Silver Knights Chess is smart fun for schools & kids

ImageWelcome to the website of the Silver Knights Chess Company! We partner with elementary schools, middle schools, and community centers to teach chess to children. We teach students of all different levels, from total beginners to national champions. We also run scholastic tournaments, where students can compete both individually and as members of their school’s team. We currently teach classes, camps, and run tournaments in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland.

The 3rd Annual Silver Knights Cup was a big success!  Thank you to all those who participated.  We had over 220 participants - the biggest tournament of the season so far!  A special congratulations to those who won first place in the different sections.  Rohen Wilson went undefeated in K-1, in his first ever chess tournament! Pravas Adibi and Theodore tied for first in K-3; after an exciting blitz play-off, Pravas won first place.  James Ye was undefeated in K-5.  David Siamon successfully defended his title, going undefeated in K-8 and winning first place!

This year we had over 40 schools represented in the tournament.  All the teams did a fantastic job.  Floris Elementary unseated the reigning champions, Haycock Elementary, to win 1st place! Haycock Elementary took 2nd place, and Forestville Elementary took 3rd place.

Cognratulations again to everyone, and we hope to see you at all the Silver Knights Chess tournaments this spring!
