| Congratulations to Dan Yeager, an 11th-grade student at Hatboro-Horsham High School in suburban Philadelphia, for winning the 2008 national high school chess championship! Dan was the 2nd-seeded player entering the tournament and dominated the event from start to finish with a perfect 7-0 score. Last year, some of our summer camp students got the chance to challenge Dan to a blindfold or time odds game. They found out firsthand how tough he is to beat, and the bad news is it looks like he'll be even more difficult in the future! |
