Tournament Results - MD and CO
Written by Adam Weissbarth
On November 3, 2007, Silver Knights held its first tournaments in Maryland and Colorado.

In Brooklyn Park, Maryland, 21 players competed in the November Blast tournament. Meanwhile, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, 19 children played in the November Rumble

Taking first place in the K-3 section of the Blast with a 4-0 score was Jordan Best, rated 364. In the K-8, Adip Bhargav, rated 1280, also went undefeated at 4-0. The winning team was the Cross Country K-8 school of Baltimore. Free analysis for all the children's games was provided by National Master Arkadiy Frenkel.

Out west in Colorado, Daniel LaBauve (unrated) of Eldorado Elementary won his very first tournament by going 4-0, receiving a provisional rating of 1144!  Daniel's performance wasn't quite enough to push his team over the top, despite their top four players scoring 9.0 team points. Mountain View Elementary, a K-3 school, finished just a half-point ahead with 9.5.  Summit View Elementary, the host school, was a close third place with 8.0. Two-time U.S. Open champion Michael Mulyar was on hand to analyze the children's games.
