Silver Knights Chess

Most of our chess tournaments have three sections: K-3 beginner, 4-8 beginner, and K-12 championship. The beginner sections are open to players rated under 1000 or unrated. The K-12 championship section is open to high school players and younger players that are rated over 1000 or just want more of a challenge. Trophies are awarded to the top individuals and school teams. Unless otherwise noted, all tournaments are USCF-rated. Online registration is available until noon the day before the tournament. To get the lowest entry fee, register early and online. On-site registration is available until 30 minutes before the first round.

Our Philadelphia-area tournaments feature free analysis of student games for players in the scholastic sections. We have a rotating group of masters who provide this analysis, including the current Pennsylvania champion, IM Bryan Smith.
