Pennsylvania Chess Tournaments
Most of our chess tournaments have three sections: K-3 beginner, 4-8 beginner, and K-12 championship. The beginner sections are open to players rated under 1000 or unrated. The championship section is open to high school players and younger players rated 800 or higher. Trophies are awarded to the top individuals and school teams in every section. All sections are USCF-rated. To see more information or to register online, click the "Register Here" button for the tournament you are interested in attending. If you are a new chess parent or have questions about the tournament process, feel free to browse through our Tournament FAQs or contact us.
Online registration is available until noon the day before the tournament. To get the lowest entry fee, register early and online. On-site registration is available until 30 minutes before the first round.
Our Philadelphia-area tournaments feature free analysis of student games for players in the scholastic sections. We have a rotating group of masters who provide this analysis, including the current Pennsylvania champion, IM Bryan Smith.
