USCF Rating Report
99 children competed in the Summer Blast chess tournament at Franklin Sherman Elementary School. In the k-3 unrated section, kindergartener Neil Deng swept the field going 4-0. Abhiram Kagitha, a first grader from Oak Hill ES took second place with three wins and a draw. In the k-8 U-600 section, Young Qi of Haycock and Lawrence Wang of Wolftrap tied for first place with perfect scores, in the first rated tournament for both players. Wolftrap Elementary dominated the team competition as Clark Bowden and Armin Dubert joined Lawrence Wang as the team scored 9.5 points.
In the Championship section, Akshaj Kadaveru took first place after winning an exciting blitz playoff with Nikhil Ramachandran, who got second. They both won all four of their matches. Alex Jian took third place with three wins and a tie. In the team competition, Nysmith School for the Gifted dominated, as Akshaj Kadaveru, Shwetark Patel, Marwan Lloyd, Kritika and Aaditya Singh scored 11.5 points between them.

Welcome to the website of the Silver Knights Chess Company! We partner with Elementary schools, Middle schools, and community centers to teach chess to children. We teach students of all different levels, from total beginners to national champions. We also run scholastic tournaments, where students can compete both individually and as members of their school’s team. For the more advanced scholastic chessplayers, we organize monthly adult chess tournaments to allow for stronger competition. We currently teach classes and run tournaments and camps in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
