Silver Knights Chess is smart fun for schools & kids

ImageWelcome to the website of the Silver Knights Chess Company! We partner with Elementary schools, Middle schools, and community centers to teach chess to children. We teach students of all different levels, from total beginners to national champions. We also run scholastic tournaments, where students can compete both individually and as members of their school’s team. For the more advanced scholastic chessplayers, we organize monthly adult chess tournaments to allow for stronger competition. We currently teach classes and run tournaments and camps in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.

We also offer online chess videos through our Online Training Center. Instructors include several National and International Masters.

Tournament Results - Chess Bowl
Written by Adam Weissbarth

USCF Rating Report

Thirty-four chessplayers played through a power outage that occurred during the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Chess Bowl at Shady Grove Elemenatary School. Praneeth Denduluri went 4-0 to win the tournament, defeating Ryan Schiller in a (dark!) last-round game to clinch 1st place and raise his rating up to nearly 1600. The U/700 section featured a huge tie for first place at 3-1 between Khushi Parikh, Daniel Cohen, Caleb Zhang, Nitin Balusu, and Benjamin Kilroy.  Khushi took first place on tiebreaks.  Isaac Tshudy (grades 4-8) and Paolo Marchiano (grades K-3) won their respective Unrated sections.
