Silver Knights Chess is smart fun for schools & kids

Welcome to the website of the Silver Knights Chess Company! We partner with Elementary schools, Middle schools, and community centers to teach chess to children. We teach students of all different levels, from total beginners to nationally ranked players. We also run scholastic tournaments, where students can compete both individually and as members of their school’s team. For serious tournament players, advanced classes are available to give players the chance to practice and study with a highly-rated coach in a small group setting. We currently teach classes and run tournaments in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Colorado.

We also offer online chess videos through our Online Training Center. Instructors include two-time U.S. Open champion Michael Mulyar, Pennsylvania champion Bryan Smith, and Arizona champion Sonny Kamberi.

New Chess Videos - August 25

This week, NM Adam Weissbarth analyzes three games in three new chess videos:

- A practical example of a master chessplayer beating a class A player using the advantage of the two bishops (Intermediate/Advanced)

- A sacrificial attacking game from the 1800s by the famous English player Henry Joseph Blackburne (Beginner/Intermediate)

- An instructive recent game between two elementary school students, Rachel and Drew (Intermediate)

Summer camp schedule is out!

Our schedule of 2008 summer camps is now out. This summer, we have chess camps in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and Colorado. Camps are a great way for kids to have fun, get better at chess, and make new friends. Our coaching staff is the best in the business, including more than 10 national and international masters. Keep your chess skills sharp with a scholastic chess workshop! Last month, NM Adam Weissbarth and IM Bryan Smith led an all-day study session of 15 students with ratings ranging from 200 to 1750. Only 12 spots are available in the August workshop, so register early!
