Paul Powell has over 35 years experience in tournament chess and is a former Delaware state chess champion. He earned his National Master title in 1987 and his Life Master title in 1993 by completing 300 consecutive tournaments games above the master level. Chess Life magazine referred to Paul as a “World Champion Smasher” at simultaneous exhibitions due to victories over World Champions and World Class Grand Masters. Paul has privately coached adult tournament players to prepare them for the World Open and other major events, and he’s thrilled to be affiliated with Silver Knights Chess to help a new generation of chess players learn to play and enjoy chess. |
