Hello [NAME]
As the school year gets set to begin, Silver Knights Chess has some exciting new opportunities for scholastic (and adult!) chessplayers:
Our popular K-8 team tournament format is back and better than ever, as it returns to Radnor Middle School on November 14. The team tournament now features rated and unrated sections, as well as a bughouse tournament for kids at the conclusion of the main event.
We are also organizing our first grand prix tournament in several years, the Delaware Valley Open Championship. The tournament features $3,000 worth of prizes (mostly cash), and is scheduled for December 12-13 in Philadelphia. There is an Open, a U/1600, and a K-12 U/1000 (Saturday only) section.
The Bryn Mawr Community Center, host of our monthly Friday Night Action tournaments, will be unavailable soon due to construction on the adjacent public library. Our last tournament there is scheduled to be Friday, September 18. We are currently looking for a new site, so if you have any ideas, please let us know!
